Jason,

So you're sending a snmp GET (more likely, several snmp GETs) to that
switch, and 328 seconds later you still haven't got a response?

What happens if you try a snmpget from the command line?

Subject: [mrtg] Lock file

I have one switch that refuses to finish in time. I have even given
it's own cfg file at this point. I have stopped and deleted the lock
file, but it comes right back. The switch has LAN connectivity to the
MRTG machine. I am monitoring 3 other switches of the same class with
no issue. Any ideas?
2006-08-17 11:50:29 -- ERROR: I guess another mrtg is running. A
lockfile (c:/mrtg/mrtg/bin/nj/10.156.1.246.cfg_l)
aged 328 seconds is hanging around and I can't remove
it because another process is still using it. at
c:/mrtg/mrtg/bin/mrtg line 1419.

Thanks,
Jason
