Hi Hans, I've never used the indexmaker very much, but during my initial testing I got the impression it wasn't able to do that. The documentation is rather light in the book (I've got the hardback copy for v2.16.4 in my hands). I would imagine dynamic would be difficult to do with HTML tables, and I think indexmaker uses tables a lot IIRC.
I made a different "tool" or web interface for the MRTG graphs we have. You can construct your own web interface and using HTML/CSS make it completely dynamic with respect to columns, although we still ultimately chose to use just 2 columns to work with. I've constructed pages that can zoom in and out making the graphs smaller and will naturally fill the screen with as many graphs as possible. The trick is to use float and margins, IIRC. Graphs selection and presentation is database driven, but nothing stops you from making static pages the same way.
