Hi Denny
Thanks! I have had some success, but have decided on a different approach. Hopefully I will have something together in an hour or so. Ill send the file to you then. I am working with version 2003, but I am going to work on the file in 2000 format for user compatibility. I read the Mere Mortals book. It was a great help. The various templates you refer to also have been helpful, but not exactly what I need. If I get too delayed with my progress I will let you know how it is coming along. Much appreciated! What version of Access are you using? Sure, I would be willing to take a look at your DB. Just send the ZIP file to my e-mail address and we will see what happens. For the time being, take a look at the the sample database, "Northwind.mdb" that comes with all versions of MS Access. Don't forget the templates that come with Access; these are ready-made databases included with Access, and they can be very valuable. Last but not least, get yourself a good book on Access for the beginner. John Viescas is an expert on Access and he has written several wonderful books on the subject. John also participates heavily in this group: John Viescas, author "Building Microsoft Access Applications" "Microsoft Office Access 2003 Inside Out" "Running Microsoft Access 2000" "SQL Queries for Mere Mortals" http://www.viescas.com/ Denny G. --- In [email protected], "David Rank" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Everybody > > > > After a couple of brain-wracking weeks, I have begun designing my first DB. > I am struggling, but determined to make this work. > > > > Would any of you be willing to take a glance at my beginning design and make > suggestions? > > > > I have a small test db in a zipped file and can email it to you directly. > > > > My eyes are swirling, my mind is numb and my wife is spending this weekend > alone as I wrestle with this. > > > > All input is most appreciated! > > > Thanks > > > > David > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] _____ YAHOO!
