Hello Group - 

 

For those who have been following, I have been making significant progress
on my first DB and am very thankful for the help and input I have received
here.

 

A specific question I have.

 

I have an Order form that includes start time and end time. The Order form
contains a subform - Update Times where additional time can be inputted.

 

I need to track and display the total amount of time spent on each order.
Please take a look at the following example to see what I am trying to
accomplish:

 

2:30 PM minus   1:30 PM = 1

3:30 PM minus   1:00 PM = 2.5

1:00 PM minus 11:30 AM = 1.5

                        Total = 5 Hours

 

Initially, I planned to display a calculated field on the Order form. I am
now thinking it would be better to create a query for the purpose of
creating reports that can show totals times for each Order ID, or for all
Orders, or for Service Type or Client, etc. 

 

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell the process in
constructing this.
