Arnold-

If the dot matrix is making two passes per line, it must be trying to print
in "high" quality. It could be a setting saved with the report. Open the
report and then choose Page Setup from the File menu. Select the Page tab,
select Use Specific Printer, and click the Printer button. Select the dot
matrix printer and click the Properties button. That should open a
printer-specific dialog where you can specify whether you want "draft" or
"high" quality.

You should also check the default settings for that printer on your machine
in the Windows Printers and Faxes window. However, if Word is doing it the
way you want, perhaps that's not the problem.

Subject: [ms_access] HELP!!!!! Dot Matrix Printing

Hi There,

I have designed a report that prints and runs well with laser printer but
it creates 1 little problem when I try to print with dot matrix printer
(Panasonic KX-P1121); the printer prints twice on every rows, thus, the
printing speed is remarkably slow.

I exported the same report to MS-Word and the Panasonic printer prints well
and only once on each row.

What can I do to overcome this problem? Anything I've missed out in the
report's Properties setting? Maybe the "Fast Laser Printing" should be "No"
instead of default "Yes"?

Please advice and very much appriciated!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

By the way....Happy Holidays!

Cheers!
Arnold
