Ma question (above) was unfounded, exportation works OK (except toward Excel where the problem remains)

I have to export regularly the CITIES table to a txt or Excel file for another non access application. Why does access (2003) export not the numeric value of the State Id, but the text value of field nr 2 of table 2 (State Name) ? It seems to work as if i exported a query based on the two tables...access does a work i am not asking for... Is there a way to have the pure numeric value exported ?
