Why not restrict the number of characters in your query? Like this:

ConcatenateField:left(OtherField1 + OtherField2 + OtherField3),30)

Dear All,
I need the groups help urgently. I am stuck and cannot find a
way. Please help.

I have a text box in a form that is bound to a query field.
This text box concatenates text from other fields of the query. I want
to restrict the length of this textbox to 30 characters. Pl. guide me
how to do it. Reason: I am pasting the result of the textbox in a
software field, where there it can accept only 30 characters. I would
like a message box warning if the length exceeds 30 before saving the
record.

Thanks and Regards,
Kumar
