Is the default view of the form inside the subform control Single Form or
Continous Form?  If so, then records in the Form Header section should
appear in the subform control.  You won't see the headers if the form is in
Datasheet view.

John I think I misunderstood your question. Yes, the detail lines in the
subform are
linked to actual fields on one of the tables.

Here is an overview. It is a Donor Database. There is one table for donors
and
another for donations.

So, Donor is the form and donations the subform.

When I put a heading in the subform, it doesn't show. The data for the
subform
DOES show. Every donation made by a particular donor shows up.
