Actually, there's probably a library in Tools / References marked "MISSING." Uncheck that, and everything should start working again. This often happens in a database converted from a previous release and then moved to a different machine. You can find the References dialog by opening the Visual Basic editor (CTRL+G should work) and choosing References from the Tools menu. I am never quite sure of which reference file needs to be involved but look under Tools -> References and see if "Microsoft Access 9.0 Object Library" is checked as a library reference and that it is as high as possible in your list of references. In any case your problem is due to not having the right reference selected or it not being listed high enough in the list of references. Common enough issue. --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:ms_access%40yahoogroups.com> ps.com, M Brovage <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Whenever I use the trim, mid, etc, in a query I get an undefined function.
