I'd still suggest you use DSum("DepositAmount","Deposits", "DepositDate = #"
& [txtDepositDate] & "#") where DepositAmount and DepositDate are fields in
Deposits and txtDepositDate is the name of the field on your form. However,
if your date format according to Regional Settings in the Control Panel is
not the US type (m/d/yyyy e.g. 4/20/2006) you may have to format the date on
your form to the US type and include your formatted date in the criteria of
the DSUM function.

Subject: [ms_access] HELP!!!!

I am having issues creating a subtotal in a form in Access.
i've tried to use the dsum function that results in a #error. Here's
fields in the form:
Date of Deposit
Deposit Amount (is default for current mm/dd/yyyy)
What I want is the total deposit for only the date displayed on the
form. Any suggestions?
