Samira,
Definitely the value will not save because you removed the reference or the
control source of that field
As far as I can see, Next Oil Change field will add 90 days after putting
the Last Oil Change date.
Put this under AfterUpdate of Last Oil Change field
if not isnull(Last Oil Change) then
Next Oil Change = DateAdd("d", 90, Last Oil Change)
else
Next Oil Change =Null
end if
Change the field name accordingly.
hth,
George

Subject: [ms_access] form design help!
I created a form to help with data entry into a table for a database
as follows.
Table
Cars
Form
Cars
Reports
Upcoming Oil Changes
Two fields from the table and the form are involved. I have "Last Oil
Change" and "Next Oil Change". Both are date fields."Next Oil Change"
uses a formula =[Last Oil Change]+90. For some reason this data is not
stored in the table, and so I can't use it in queries or reports. How
can I get the data from the form into the table?
Have a great weekend!
Samira
