Dawn: Still having a tough time getting that field not to truncate. I tried taking that field out of the original query, made it into its own query with the id field, and then linked the original query to the new id field and Location query. It is still truncating the field though. I am accomplishing a count on a field in that same query....is that what might be causing it to truncate? I am not sorting in the query but I am sorting/grouping by date in the report. What am I still missing here? Dave

What most people do to create their report is they create the query and then add the memo field in the record source of the report to get the memo field in there as well. So you would have two queries linked together where the one query does the sorting and the other query has the memo field and id field so you can join them together and use them in your report. The query does not pull all of the text in from the table....all of the information is in the table but the query on the memo field truncates the entry in the report. The report filed is set to Can Grow but I noted the query itself is truncating the memo field - thus the report is not fed all of the data. Thanks!
