My first form "frmCompanyList" has "CompanyID" = not visible and "CompanyName" on it, plus other information regarding the company. This form is locked for editing.
I then have a Command Button that takes me to a second form "frmEditCompanyList" (much like the first one) but open for editing. When I click the command button on the first form to take me to form 2, I have to do a find to get to the record I wanted to edit. I want to have the second form open to the record I was viewing on the first form, upon clicking the command button. How do I pass the "CompanyID" variable to the second form so that this happens? The reason for the two forms, instead of just unlocking the first one for editing, is that there are controls on the second form that are not on the first one. In this way, by removing the editing control from the first form, I can control who can edit, and access the other parts of the db. If this makes sense.
