Access 2003 - I am following the instructions in the Help function to import data to an existing table from an Excel spreadsheet. Everything goes great until I say "Finish". then I get a message that the table I want to import the data to is "already open" and it won't let me go any farther. Of course the table is open - it has to be open in order for me to invoke the Get External data function under the File tab. What am I doing wrong. I used to create Access applications many years ago but now everything is new and I'm having to learn a lot of stuff all over again.
