I think you CAN get a 32-bit binary to run on Linux, if you install 32-bit libs and set up some environment variables or something. I've read about how to do it, but I've never actually been desperate enough to bother. It looks fragile and unreliable. Dual builds and dual packages sounds like a much better idea. -- D.
