Hi!
I've read your ideas for GSoC and found some of it quite interest and
useful.
Most of all I liked the one about Guitar Pro import, because I've been
looking for decent open source
tool capable of reading gtp format for quite a long time)
And now I finally found an excellent opportunity to help in creating of such
a program.
I also have some personal ideas to add. It mostly about import from
different sources.
1. import from Power tab
2. downloading tablatures by song name directly from web (fro example from
ultimate-guitar.com)
3. Create tablature from song file. May be it not exactly appropriate
feature for MuseScore project
and it seems quite hard at the first sight, but it would be nice to have
this functional. Even if it will only
help on the simplest parts of song

So, few lines about myself. I'm now studying at Belarussian State University
on faculty of Applied Mathematics
and Computer Science. I'm also fond of music and musical instruments,
especially guitars.
I have quite a lot of experience in c++, linux programming, git and hg.
Can't say that I'm very familiar with Qt,
but it won't be a promlemm, I'm learning quickly)

So, I will be glad to read your opinion about these ideas.
