Welcome Carl, I will answer in each topic on the forum. For other readers, there are http://musescore.org/en/node/25170 http://musescore.org/en/node/25171 http://musescore.org/en/node/25173 http://musescore.org/en/node/25172
In this post, I want to talk about MuseScore development in general. First, I want to make sure you understand that MuseScore is libre software as defined here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software Then, technically, you can download MuseScore current source code here https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore You will need to create an account and learn git if you never used it. There are some resources and explanation on how MuseScore uses git here http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/git-workflow. To compile MuseScore, there are instructions here http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/compilation If needed, you can communicate with several developers in real time on IRC #musescore on freenode.net. If you don't have an IRC client, you can use this link http://irc.lc/freenode/musescore lasconic 2014-03-29 6:00 GMT+01:00 Carl M Jacobson <[email protected]>: > A new Hello to all of you out there.I have just joined the development group > at Musescore after four decades of developing software in almost every > language out there.
