For what its worth, Sibelius does what MuseScore currently does (selects
only the notes that are visibly highlighted). Finale selects the all the
notes playing at that instant. So if you range select the last eighth it
gives you an eighth from voice one and an eighth from voice 2.

I'm used to the Finale behavior from years of use, but I suppose both
behaviors are logical.

By the way I really appreciate your work on the selection code. Visually
highlighting the elements that are actually selected really improves the
experience of using MuseScore.
