I'm looking into the fswatch utility
https://github.com/emcrisostomo/fswatch/wiki/How-to-Use-fswatch
but it is not exactly trivial. I have to investigate further.
I've setup a script which will checkin the new or modified mcsx files.
I've started the script with something like
csh> fswatch -o /Users/jimka/Music/Musescore/Scores | xargs -n1
/Users/jimka/Music/Musescore/Scores/monitor.csh

This seems to almost work. The first time I save the mcsx file in
musescore, the monitor.csh script runs and commits the file to git.
Thereafter the monitor.csh script gets re-run every half a second, even
though no additional files seem to have changed. I eventually killed it.
Perhaps it would have quit after 100 runs or so, but I didn't test that.
