I thought that refactoring was the most likely scenario. I also thought
that the best was to contact Werner was via this list server. Is there
a better way? I have now posted this question on the Development forum,
so maybe he (you) responds there? He responded to a recent post of mine
on the Support forum.
Thanks for the info. I'm working through a few other changes that
affect my code and leaving this one until last.

Linked staves and not only them are reworked by Werner in master. Ask
him if you need help. And be sure, no functionality is lost just
refactoring

I am looking at libmscore/staff.h and I see that all the linked
staves
functions are commented out. I looked through the github history
of the
file for the past 2 years and see no mention of "link", so I don't
know
when it happened or why. What happened to these functions, and what
should I do to replace them? My code iterates over staves and
handles
linked staves differently. Or is the entire feature of linked staves
gone? That would be a shame for tablature.
If this kind of question should go to the forums, let me know and
I'll
post it there instead.
