They are not at all working with fpc (and hardly know what exactly fpc 
is) . But it would make a lot of sense to (additionally to the current 
Windows versions) offer Linux versions to the customers. So I suggested 
to do that via fpc.

The only "good way" would be a (future) Lazarus / fpc version that is 
greatly a workalike with the (then) current Delhi version - including 
the (decently flawed) String implementation Delphi provides).
