This isn't an issue with a management server. That management serve just
happens to be the one that is getting the DW Sync job now that the old RMS
duties are distributed. If you uninstalled that management server (or simply
just removed it from the default resource pools) you would see this sync job
follow to another MS and most likely start failing.

This is caused by a problem trying to insert data into the DW for managed
entities, and this issue will also cause reports to not show specific agent
machines in them. :)

I'd recommend opening a support case on the issue, as from the few cases I have
seen on this - it required support to modify entries in the DB.

Does anyone have any ideas I could try for this issue?

Thanks,

Subject: [msmom] SCOM 2012 SP1 Event Id 31553 - One Management Server

Hello,

We are running SCOM 2012 SP1. We have 8 Management Servers (one of them
serving as the RMSe), 3 Gateway Servers, 1 Reporting Services server, 1 Data
Warehouse DB server, 1 Operations Manager DB server, 1 ACS DB server, 1 ACS
Collector.

Except for the 3 Gateway Servers, all of the other servers mentioned above are
virtual and in the same physical datacenter.

Recently (about 2-3 weeks) one of the Management Servers (not the RMSe) has
been displaying Event Id 31553 approximately every minute at the very least.
None of the other Management or Gateway servers are displaying this event.

I tried moving all of this Management Server's agents to other management
servers to see if that cleared it up, but it did not. The problematic
management server is connected to the SCOM databases, the Console is showing
this MS as healthy.

The details of the Event are:

The highlighted portion is the same for every event occurrence.

I have not been able to find anything that works on any blogs.

My next move was to remove this Management Server from the environment, wait
48hrs and put it back in, but I wanted to put a "feeler" out to this group
first.

Thanks,
Sven
