Dear Karen, Unfortunately that will not work. First of all, if you can't delete the Lync 2010 MP, it means that the dependencies are defined in the other management packs. Second of all, you could always export a Microsoft Management pack, edit the XML and increment the version number. You will however not be able to re-seal it with the same key that Microsoft used. Without that key, you won't be able to upgrade the sealed MP.
I do not know the Lync 2013, but if it refers to the Lync 2010 MP, you won't be able to remove that one. However, you could always edit your custom MP to remove dependencies to the Lync 2010 MP. Could you provide a screenshot of the error or an exact list of the dependencies?
