I am a "Linux-challenged" newbie. I am attempting to set up a Win2k
development environment (and document how to do it ) for the MSP430
compiler. The Files download area on http://sourceforge.net/projects/mspgcc
only contains examples and Python utilities but no MSP430 compiler downloads
as I was expecting. Is a windows version of CVS the first thing I will need
locate to download the MSP430 GCC source code and compile it?

I installed the Cygwin utility and downloaded other software that I may or
may not need. Much of it seemed to be source code downloads which I assume
means I need the GCC compiler in order to create the binaries. It looks
like setting up the environment under Win2k will be challenging. There
appear to be a lot of software dependencies.

Any tips or suggestions on where to start setting up a Win2K GCC MSP430
development environment are much appreciated. If you think it may be
useful, I would be happy to check in my Win2k setup documentation when
complete.

Thanks in advance,

-Ed
