Sorry, just realized I have left out a few details of my setup:
1. I have an external LCD attached.
2. J6 is off
3. This is an MSP430F449 device.
4. I have 12pF caps on crystal.
5. I have moved R8 to R9 and R11 to R10 (jumpers).
6. I am powering through J5 with 3.2VDC (regulated).
7. I have three 1Mohm resistors from R33 to R23 to R13 to R03 w/ R03
connected to ground.
8. This LCD works perfectly when run w/o FET (and is leftover from a
semi-mature 337 project).
Ok, that should do it.
Thanks
-Mark

Subject: [Mspgcc-users] FET operation w/ External power to dev board

I finally added enough parts to my dev board that I needed to use
external power. But now the FET(and GDB/RProxy) is having trouble
"re-taking" over the cpu.
I can get it to respond if I alternatively mess w/ the external power
and the JTAG connector, but this is a real pain.

Is there a better solution? When I used JTAG(FET) power, the system
worked perfectly.

Thanks
-Mark
