Hi all,

My recent documentation has received input from a number of people, and has had a number of fixes applied. It now seems to be a reasonable representation of reality. I have, therefore, made it the default documentation and FAQ at the mspgcc web site.

I have had the latest IAR compiler (2.10) for a while, but was only prompted to seriously try it a few days ago, when I did some floating speed comparisons between compilers. I find it has many differences from version 1.26. The syntax of interrupt routines is different, perhaps for some good compatibility reason I can't see. However, many seemingly pointless changes have been made. All the special feature functions, like BIC_SR, have changed names. I am wondering if it is worth adding some compatibility definitions to our header files, to make as many of these new names synonyms for the old ones. We already have a number of macros, which exist for IAR compatibility, so this is just a matter of extending that practice. Any thoughts on this subject? How compatible is it worth trying to be?

Regards,
Steve
