I wonder what they tell you in the first one? GDB is poorly documented
and you should expect weird stuff to happen. GDB has many good
qualities, but don't expect to find any in the remote debug interface.
We'd love to tell you all the details of the remote debug protocol, but
nobody seems to have figured 100% of them out. We'd love to tell you how
the remote debug protocol offers a robust interface to your target,
except it doesn't.
You might gather that my experience implementing gdbproxy taught me the
remote debug interface to GDB sucks.
