I have used my Parallel port in SPP and other settings... IAR works in multiple settings. As for the TI mod... I have a new and old board.. no difference. Both act the same. I would bet the timing difference. If I do something real stupid... pull the adapter and reconnect while msp430-gdbproxy is running .. I will often get: debug: msp430: msp430_open() info: msp430: Target devicee is a 'MSP430F149 (type 7) notice: msp-gdbproxy: waiting on TCP port 2000 ---- since i am running this standalone (w/o gdb) to test it ... I assume this is what I would expect. My guess.. some timing opportunity in the startup? If the code available for the parallel port interface.... or enough to build gdbproxy without getting into the TI code? Regards, Jim
