Thanks Chris on the fast reply! The switches I'm using for the compiler are: -c -std=gnu99 -g -O2 -Wall -Wp,-w -Wno-return-type -Wstrict-prototypes -mmcu=msp430x149 -v For the linker just: -mmcu=msp430x149
Its weird because this code compiled perfectly on CrossWorks... same CPU. Thanks a lot, m. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris Liechti Sent: Tuesday, March 02, 2004 8:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Mspgcc-users] Linker error Milos Prokic wrote: ... > msp430-ld: address 0xa71 of bin\KS0713.exe section .bss is not within region > data > msp430-ld: address 0xa71 of bin\KS0713.exe section .noinit is not within > region data ... > Has anyone encountered anything similar to this, any insight is greatly > appreciated. looks like your using more ram than available. dont forget to use the -mcpu=xxx switch at compile _and_ link time. chris ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
