Hi all,

Support for the 14x1 devices has been in the GCC patches for some time, but was somehow left out of the binutils patches. Also, recent patches for the 21x1, 42x, and 42x0 did not make their way into the repository at redhat. ftp://ww.soft-switch.org/pub/binutils-14x1-21x1-42x-42x0.patch is a patch against recent versions of binutils to add support for these parts.

That patch (if you fix the obvious missin "w" in "www.soft-switch.org") works fine with binutils-2.16.1. The latest snapshots have had 21x1 added, but not the other devices (what happened there, Dmitry). So, I have a new patch which cleanly patches the binutils-20050821 snaphot, and so should patch CVS properly.

So, the patches are:

ftp://ftp.soft-switch.org/pub/binutils-14x1-21x1-42x-42x0.patch for binutils-2.16.1 or

ftp://ftp.soft-switch.org/pub/binutils-14x1-42x-42x0.patch for the latest CVS version of binutils.

Dmitry,

Can we get this update into CVS, please.

Chris,

I think its time for a new Windows installer, with these updates to binutils, the matching updates to GCC 3.2.3 and the new gdbproxy.

I really should work out some RPM spec files for this stuff.

Regards,
Steve
