If I'm not wrong, the MSP-FET430UIF is unusable tool under Linux.
Can somebody help me to find a possible way to use it?
I tested also IAR in W98/WXp under VmWare, but when I connect the MSP-FET430UIF to USB port, VmWare locks since I disconnected the debug I/F.
Thank in advance.

You are correct. The USB FET tool is supported by the Windows version of gdb-proxy, but not by the Linux version. I really need to get this sorted out, as the new 2xx devices with the Spy-Bi-Wire can only be debugged using the USB FET tool. If I don't get a USB driver sorted out for Linux, we son't be able to support these new devices under Linux.

I don't think providing support is a big job, since a Linux driver exists for the TUSB3410 USB device in the FET tool. It needs to be adapted, though, and I just haven't found time to do it.

The parallel port FET tools works OK under Linux.

Steve
