The patch was for gcc-core 3.3.6
gcc-3.2.3 is the code to patch if there is a problem, its the version
being worked on and produced the best code for msp430. Ill check if this
patch applies to gcc-3.2.3.
If you make patches do them against gcc-3.2.3.
Is gcc-3.3.6 recommended for developing msp43016xx code?
No.
Is gcc-3.2.3 still the one to use for stable, trustworthy, if less optimized?
3.2.3 is more optimized than 3.3.6 it makes smaller code.
