I cobbled together the attached script, works for me. This is far from
authoritative, but I hope it helps.

I've read that recent versions do, though I haven't tried it
yet.

If somebody were to post an authoritative HOWTO for
msp430-gdbproxy via USB under Linux, I'd be glad to test it. :)
