Today i got my TI ez430-F2013 Tool. But its not recognized on USB Port when plugged in; i.e. no hwwizard pops up neither it can be seen via USBview. (XP-Pro) The F2013 seems to be programmed with the standard ~2Hz LED blinking demo. I already found info that others got around this by removing the F2013 part of the stick. But mine refuses to be recognized. Any pointers what i could try or check with DMM or Osc. before returning it as nonfunctional? Helmut Schäfer
Like any other USB device under XP, the EZ430 should a window to pop up when you plug it in for the first time. If you look in the device manager, can you see anything? Unless a device is 100% dead, they usually show up as a malfunctioning device somewhere in the device manager list.
