Hi,

I'm starting to attempt using mspgcc for an MSP430F2618. As far as I can tell thus far, there are a series of patches in the mailing lists, although I can't tell what the proper sequence of applying them is, or which of those patches in the archives are outdated. I just checked out the latest CVS code, and none of the patches seem to have been migrated yet to the cvs tree.

Also, it seems that programming via JTAG is not working (awaiting updating of libHIL.so), but it's not clear to me from the archives if debugging works through gdb or not. We have written a BSL for the old 1xx series, so I'm assuming we can get around the reprogramming problem by adapting the BSL for the new series.

If I could get a little help on which patches to apply and where to find them, I'd be happy to put together a document outlining the procedure for getting up and running with the 2618 under Ubuntu for any future travelers. Any tips/lessons learned by the few working on the 2xx series thus far would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Aaron Ault
