You know, I've done this several times over the past few years and I keep forgetting that I need to use 3.2.3 -- I naturally try to use the most recent versions and then end up stepping my way back down...sigh.

strange errors can happen compiling a gcc 3.x tree with gcc 4.x. use a
gcc 3.x to compile a 3.x tree.
