Hi,

I am a complete newbie into MSP430 and have been following this mailing list
for some time now. I am somewhat getting confused with the terminology here. I
hope my questions don't sound too stupid and if they are, then please bear with
them.

I attended the MSP430 day and have a ez430-RF2500 development kit with me. My
question is what is this USB FET that people are talking here? Is it the
hardware that plugs into my USB and enables debugging? The USB half I mean,
which has the steel USB connector sticking out of it.

The other half which connects to this USB half using 4 small pins, I suppose is
the target MSP430 board, right ? Also, will it be too difficult to get the
ez430-RF2500 working under Ubuntu Jaunty. I read some mails that in the 2.6.28
Jaunty Kernel some TI USB driver is broken. But even after I upgrade to the
2.6.30 kernel will it be too difficult to get this tool running ? Has anyone,
anyone at all, got the ez430-RF2500 working over Jaunty?

Thanks in advance for your time in replying to my queries!

regards,
Seemanta
