I'd also suggest making sure you're using the current version of mspdebug
from git, since it very much looks like you have encountered the bug that I
reported and Daniel fixed last week. That fix was not in 0.11.
Or perhaps you have a 5438A and the changes that made it work with my 5438
broke your chip.
