First, upgrade your Ubuntu release. 8.10 is obsolete and no longer supported - and therefore you shouldn't connect it to the Internet except possibly for immediate upgrading. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades and upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS -- optionally, you can try Ubuntu 10.10, but I for one have not yet attempted to build mspgcc4 on 10.10. However, 10.04 works for mspgcc4 for me. After that, for a new start with MSP430, use mspgcc 4.4.X, see http://mspgcc4.sourceforge.net/ NOTE - building on outdated Desktop distributions is *not* supported. You need to upgrade Ubuntu first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nokia and AT&T present the 2010 Calling All Innovators-North America contest Create new apps & games for the Nokia N8 for consumers in U.S. and Canada $10 million total in prizes - $4M cash, 500 devices, nearly $6M in marketing Develop with Nokia Qt SDK, Web Runtime, or Java and Publish to Ovi Store http://p.sf.net/sfu/nokia-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Mspgcc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mspgcc-users
