This is a little off-topic I'm afraid, but I can't find any information and don't know here better to ask. I am writing a programmer for MSP430 chips, using an AVR ATMega (requirement, due to existing equipment). I would like to check that the target is the right part (AVRs have well documented serial numbers). I see that the MSP430 parts also have device IDs but I can't find any reliable information about them. The TI docs seem to be outdated or incomplete. Can anyone point me to a better source of information?
