Hi Guys, I ran your questions by our development team.
They said, closing and reopening the browser is what it takes to create a new session. The server does authenticate the user on every page load, but this is a function of IIS / Integrated Authentication instead of App Portal. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need more assistance.
