linked was specifically for the wildcard scenario, but in general I covered all 
available methods in the webcast I did, so that should help you look at the 
available options.

The is a section in MDT help file called "Deploying Applications Based on 
Earlier Application Versions" followed that but also referenced Chris Nacker's 
blog:

I've done some successful testing in my lab but not in production. It was 
worked as expected.
