I am able to see when the management point failed in the mpcontrol log and the
event logs. I haven’t pinpointed the exact cause of why this happened. I will
need to keep investigating.

usually something that changed causes it to fail ... I'd look at mpcontrol log
server side to get an indication as to when/why it failed. Also look at that
components status messages which will go back in time further than the logs.

You may want to look deeper onto why the MP stop working. MPs don't just stop
workin, there may be something that caused to stop working. Just a thought.

After examining log files and event viewer it appeared that the management
point was having issues. I uninstalled the role and reinstalled and everything
came back up. Clients are now appearing as active again! Thank you for the help!

I am new to SCCM and have recently deployed SCCM 2012 SP1. I have deployed the
client via GPO to about 700 of our 1400 clients. The clients were all reporting
as active for a couple of weeks and recently all of them have gone to an
inactive state. I am running in mixed mode and I was able to do inventory
collection, software metering, and deploy applications and packages. As far as
I am aware nothing has changed in the configuration since the initial
deployment. Last Friday I started to see clients going inactive and by the
middle of this week they are now all inactive. All of them were reporting as
healthly. Our pcs are all Window 7 32 bit and 64 bit. Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
