They do seem to have a little confusion going on with the different products
and it would be nice to see them sort things out and offer some consistency.
We have also seen some issues where, although App-V'ing O365 ProPlus is
supported you have to jump through extra hoops to then get this deployed into a
VDI.
I guess that the strategy here is to make things a little less easy if one is
deploying a non-O365 implementation.

Matt Yandek did a session at TechEd 2013 back in June on this:

Microsoft Application Virtualization 5.0 and Microsoft Office: Better Together
http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2013/WCA-B203#fbid=oQV8MkXydNJ

.. but yeah, seems to be Office365 ProPlus based. It always confuses me though,
is there any physical difference between Office365 and Office 2013 media?
They seem to use the term Office 365 and Office 2013 interchangeably.

We have abandoned it until Microsoft gives us something to work with. We are
not deploying Office 365 either so we are sticking with a legacy install.

The interesting thing is there are App-V 5.0 preview packages you can download
for Office 2013.

If it's not Office 365 it's not really possible. Microsoft has no support for
App-V and Office 2013 pro plus. Been trying to get some support for over 6
months.

I know this is the wrong forum to post in, but the App-V list is very quiet.

Has anyone got any recommendations or hints and tips for sequencing Excel 2013
with App-V 5.0?
