Trying to find same official statement for our management. We are on SP1
and trying to figure out if R2 = all previous CUs included and feature
enhancements.

Yep ... it's the "no official statement" bit some of us want :-)

Many customers just on SP1, or plus CU1 or CU2 ... be good to know.

At least 2012 has CU's ... OMG 2007 was a challenge for upgrading
customers with so many hotfixes.

SP1 onwards ... I believe all of CU3 is in R2 but there is no official
statement that I've seen that calls out 100% parity ... yet.

I was looking for info on whether you should have CU3 (or any CU) before
upgrading to R2. Seems you just need SP1.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj822981.aspx#BKMK_UpgradeR2C
hecklist
You cannot upgrade a site to System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager
until all sites in the hierarchy run System Center 2012 Configuration
Manager with SP1. The version of cumulative updates for Configuration
Manager that are installed at sites is not evaluated and you can upgrade
a System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1 site regardless of the
cumulative update version that is installed, or even when no cumulative
update is installed.

But wondering ... does R2 include everything from CU3 (and KB2894539) ?

All I can find is ...

The post CU3 update says:

Note These issues do not affect Microsoft System Center 2012 R2
Configuration Manager.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2894539

And, CU3 says it only applies to ConfigMgr 2012 SP1

I can't seem to find a definitive answer. If you install SCCM 2012 R2,
do you still need CU3?

Thank you.
