I love TechEd and have been part of it for years. For those that have never attended but have attended MMS, it will be eye-opening. Since the ex-TechEd folks started running MMS a few years back, there will be a bunch of similarities. But, as many have noted, the content is more future-focused instead of targeted toward what you’re doing right now. For 500 a night you can get a room with 2 queen beds at the westin, 4 seasons, or Hilton right next to the convention center… If you can find a roommate, that’s only 250 a night. And, you won’t have to spend hundreds of dollars and many hours to take a cab. I’m certainly going to give clear and resounding feedback about the location for TechEd being sucky… Can’t say I’ve ever had trouble at MMS is Las Vegas finding a place to stay that wasn’t a 30 minute commute.
