For me this has almost always been that the computer is known to SCCM and has
no task sequence deployed to it. Definitely search for the MAC address of the
machine.

If you don’t find it by the MAC address, check the smspxe.log file on the PXE
enabled DP and it should tell you more about why it isn’t booting.

This is a machine that has never been imaged. This is good info you sent
though, thanks!

Make sure the PXE advertisement is cleared (or the device deleted) for that MAC
address in CM. The device may have been imaged before, leaving the record
behind.
If you are having trouble determining whether the device was imaged before, run
the MAC – Computers for a specific MAC address report from the Network category.

Subject: [mssms] PXE not working

Hey everyone,

I'm experiencing a PXE issue fairly consistently. I think we are looking at a
situation where we don't have every Cisco switch in the building configured to
allow PXE. I am findings some port work in the primary build building, while
others don't.

I have attached a screen shot that shows the message I get when I attempt to
PXE boot.

Can anyone make sense of this? Why does it look like it cannot receive policy
from the ConfigMgr server? Am I missing a setting on my SCCM server?

Thanks!
Brian
