Hi rich, In my experience this typically comes down to the detection method not being correct, where the app will install as it is required, but when the scan to detect runs it cant find the app
Hope that helps Steve ________________________________ From: Rich Coulter<mailto:rich.coul...@aos5.com> Sent: 10/07/2014 6:00 AM To: mssms@lists.myitforum.com<mailto:mssms@lists.myitforum.com> Subject: [mssms] App Install successful via Software Center but status shows failed Curious if anyone has ever ran into a scenario where an application installs successfully via Software Center, however, in the Installation Status it reports the application Failed. Subsequently, if you investigate the Monitoring workspace the app install doesn't show it was successful either, but error. Good news is the app installs and investigating both AppEnforce.log and AppDiscovery.log both look good respectively. I'd like to understand 'why' this would show the app failed, if the app was actually successful installing? Has anyone seen this? I recall reading something on this in the past, but don't recall the specifics. As mentioned, the app install is successful; but the failure under status in software center is misleading and don't to confuse my customer.
