I have seen that when the log itself is munched. If you look at the space where the log ends in cmtrace with notepad, you will find a section that is mangled in some way. That causes cmtrace to not display anything after that munched area.

Wcm.log doesn’t list anything after 3 Feb; wsusctrl.log displays nothing at all. Both logs display current data when opened in notepad. I’m aware there was an issue with cmtrace displaying >8000 lines in CM 2012 RTM, but I thought this was resolved in SP1 (which we’re running). Any thoughts?
