Good question. I’ll check on that.

I should be clearer here – when I say removed, I mean that C++ Redistributable
need to be uninstalled from the PC.

I’ve seen this before – I had a version of a C++ Redistributable that needed to
be removed before the client could install the version it wanted to.

Could this be your issue?

Installing file 'C:\windows\ccmsetup\vcredist_x64.exe' with options '/norestart
/install /quiet /log %windir%\ccmsetup\logs\VCRedist_x64_Install.log'.

File 'C:\windows\ccmsetup\vcredist_x64.exe' returned failure exit code 1. Fail
the installation.

InstallFromManifest failed 0x80070001

Failed to get client version for sending state messages. Error 0x8004100e

CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80070001

There are a few informational entries between those last two, but didn’t seem
important.

What does 'ccmsetup.log' say? Be sure to open it with CMTrace.

Trying to clean up some older clients in my environment. I have many PCs that
are still at client version 5.00.7804.1000, and 5.00.7804.1400. This process
has been working great, I’ve got 80% of my environment upgraded to
5.00.8239.1000. Now, I’m going back and working with some of the stubborn
clients. This one in particular, I have now completely uninstalled the
existing client and tried to push the updated client, which failed, then I
tried doing an interactive command prompt, and running ccmsetup.exe, and this
has failed. It is failing when trying to install
c:\windows\ccmsetup\vcredist_x64.exe. When I look at the
vcredist_x64_install.log, I see this:

[209C:2528][2016-07-06T10:28:04]e000: Error 0x81f40001: Bundle condition
evaluated to false: VersionNT64 >= v6.0 OR (VersionNT64 = v5.2 AND
ServicePackLevel >= 1)

Now, this is an older PC, but it has Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 installed, just
like every other machine in my domain. Does anyone have any idea why it is
apparently not getting correct info here?

Thanks,

Joe
